Biography

1784–28 Feb. 1862. Farmer. Born in Pennsylvania. Son of Conrad Boosinger and Catharine Barbara Yancer. Journeyed to Trumbull Co., Northwest Territory (later Ohio), ca. 1801. Married first Nancy Simcox, ca. 1807. Enlisted in War of 1812. Lived at Tallmadge, Portage Co., Ohio, by 1820. Married second Mary Ann Workinger, 21 Aug. 1822, in Wayne Co., Ohio. Performed baptisms for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints near Middlebury (later in Akron), Portage Co., 1836. Ordained to high priesthood at Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, 29 Mar. 1836. Made substantial loans to church presidency, 1836. Moved to Ray Co., Missouri, 1836. During exodus of Saints, moved to Smooth Prairie, Madison Co., Illinois, 1839. In Madison Co. swore affidavit against state of Missouri for damages suffered in Ray Co. from 1836 to 1839. Lived in Macoupin Co., Illinois, by 1840. Lived in Macoupin Co., 1850, 1860. Died in Macoupin Co.
