Biography
16 Oct. 1800–25 Apr. 1892. Farmer. Born in Duchess Co., New York. Son of Henry Wood and Elizabeth Demett. Moved with family to Ernestown, Midland District, Upper Canada (later in Lennox and Addington Co., Ontario), ca. 1803. Married Mary Snyder, after 1822. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1833. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, 1834. Appointed as member of Second Quorum of the Seventy, 1835. Moved to Daviess Co., Missouri, spring 1838; to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, Oct. 1838; and to Pleasant Vale, Pike Co., Illinois, by 1842. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley; arrived, Sept. 1848. Living in Davis Co., Utah Territory, by 1851. Died in Woods Cross, Davis Co.
